How do I search for a book?
You can search for books using the search bar at the top of the page. The catalogue supports multilingual search, meaning you can type your query in English, Devanagari, or Perso-Arabic script. The system will automatically search across all available fields including title, author, and subjects.
Can I read the books online?
Yes, many books are available to read online. You can filter your search results by selecting the Available Online pill on the Books page. For online books, a direct PDF link or a link to the hosting digital library (such as the PG Sindhi Library) will be provided on the book's detail page.
What if a book is only available offline?
If a book is only available in a physical format, its detail page will list the holding library or collection (such as Mithibai Motiram Kundnani College) along with their address. You can visit these institutions to access the physical copies.
Why are there multiple scripts for the same book?
Sindhi literature has historically been written in multiple scripts, most prominently Perso-Arabic and Devanagari. To make the catalogue accessible to all readers and researchers, we strive to record the title and author in English, Devanagari, and Perso-Arabic simultaneously.
